Greg Wright is a seasoned hospitality professional, possessing an entrepreneurial spirit. Beginning his career in 1982 with Days Inn of America, Mr. Wright quickly rose through every management position at property levels to assume multi-property responsibility of the largest corporately owned Days Inn properties, including the 260 room flagship property in downtown Atlanta.
In 1991, Mr. Wright accepted the position of Vice President of Operations for Tollman-Hundley Hotels, the then owner of Days Inn of America. Mr. Wright's responsibilities included the oversight, direction and operational results of a portfolio of both corporately owned and managed properties. During his tenure in this position, Mr. Wright was responsible for such brands as Holiday Inn, Days Inn and an independent themed resort property. These properties ranged in geographic location from Alaska to New York and Florida with many points in between.
In 1996, Mr. Wright left the corporate world to pursue a personal goal of owning a hotel. After completing the purchase and renovation of the hotel, Mr. Wright was called on by former colleagues to provide consultation on repositioning and selling underperforming properties. This consultative relationship soon grew to a full time position evaluating hotel sites, analyzing existing property operations and providing acquisition recommendations. This led him to accept the position of Vice President of Operations, overseeing the holdings of Cypress Hotels. Under his leadership the existing hotels experienced significant year over year increases in operating performance. In addition, Mr. Wright grew the hotel division to double its size in 3 years, negotiating the purchase of 4 condominium hotels and the acquisition of 2 management contracts for 3rd party investors.
In early 2002 Mr. Wright started Parkview Hospitality Group. Parkview started with one hotel and has grown to more than five in just a few short years. Parkview manages its corporately owned hotel portfolio and provides 3rd party management and consulting for property owners. In addition to owning and managing traditional hotels Parkview specializes in condo-hotel projects. From Developer - Homeowner Association liaisons to complete rental pool management and total property operations, Parkview Hospitality has over 6 years of experience in this fledgling segment of the hospitality market.
Greg Wright graduated from the University of GA in 1980 with a BA in Economics.
